The Summit

The first Whole School SEND Summit took place on the 23rd February 2017 at The Crystal, London, hosted by London Leadership Strategy.

The SEND Summit brought together new and established voices to discuss SEND in an innovative and discursive format. The aim was to utilise the experience and expertise of everyone in the room - school leaders, teachers, SENDCos, parents, young people and third sector organisations - in order to develop thinking and practice in SEND, and create a lasting, collaborative community dedicated to improving outcomes for children with SEND.

Members of Whole School SEND Consortium were each eligible for one free ticket, and the cost of tickets to newcomers subsidised at £100. A bursary budget was available to support individuals who may need to financial support to attend (including travel costs/care costs).
